The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has passed the draft bill on the Ukraine’s Economic and Social Development State Program-2007 in the first reading. 242 MPs out of 437 registered ones voted for the draft.
The main targets of the Program are concretisation of the of the Cabinet’s tasks on 2007, determination of the policy according to the state budget indexes, ensuring of transparent governmental decision making, creation of the basis for the economic and social regional program development. The key task of the Program is to convert economics into the completive economy complex. Regarding this task, the crucial structural reforms will be implemented in 2007.
The State Program has been worked out in accordance with the aims and regulations of the National Unity Pact, the President’s message to the Verkhovna Rada on Internal and External Position of Ukraine in 2005, the Act on Basis of National Security, the Main Trends of the Budget Policy of Ukraine-2007, the Forecast of Economic and Social Development of Ukraine-2007.
