Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovich declared
that Ukraine would not enter customs union with Russia.
“I want you not to confuse creation of free trade zone with Russia with creation of customs union with Russia. I repeatedly declared that customs union contradicts the Constitution of Ukraine, and we will never do it,” Yanukovich told journalists after the meeting with Eurocommission President Barrozo in Brussels.
“First, Ukraine must become a WTO member, and then we intend to create free trade zone with the EU,” Ukrainian Premier stated.
