Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych has been invited to the European Parliament to make a speech about Ukraine's Eurointegration course, EuroParliament President Josep Borrell Fontelles told journalists in Brussels Thursday, having met with Ukraine’s Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, Cabinet's press office reported.

As Josep Borrell stressed, the European Parliament attaches great significance to Ukraine's continued democratic reformation.

On December 6, he noted, the EuroParliament would hear and discuss a report about the implementation status of the European Neighborhood Policy with regard to Ukraine.

Mr. Borrell stated this policy as aimed at promoting the supremacy of the Law and human rights.

According to Josep Borrell, Viktor Yanukovych informed him about the Ukrainian authority's steps toward joining the WTO and the EU. Energy cooperation matters were discussed, as well.

“We fully support Ukraine's drive for joining the WTO and the EU,” Josep Borrell stressed.
