Victor Yushchenko has offered sympathy to the families of miners killed by a deadly gas leak at the Zasiadko coal mine in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine.
He promised to help them and wished the injured a fast recovery.
The Cabinet of Ukraine allotted $300,000 for the liquidation of the Zasyad’ko accident aftermath. The corresponding decree has been passed Wednesday at the Cabinet’s session, Vice-PM Dmytro Tabachnyk revealed at a briefing.
As a reminder, on September 20, at 5:10 am 49 miners had been blocked in lava in result of coal-gas emission. There were 400 miners in the coalface at the moment of the emission. 13 killed miners were found and 36 miners were helped out the mine. There were 180 miners left in the mine according to evening data.
