Septenber 19, the International Centre of Yavoryv Troop Training Ground (Lviv region) hosts “The Slavs for Peace” joint exercises of Ukrainian and Slovakian mechanised sub-units.
The exercises are targeted to coordinate the actions of Ukrainian and Slovakian military men for joint participation in the Peace Corps operations.
Twenty five military men from each country are engaged into the exercises. The conditions of the training are similar to the real operation.
Senior Lieutenant Yuri Holovashchenko heads Ukrainian mechanised sub-unit, Rudolf Lakosha heads Slovakian sub-unit.
The exercises will last till September 22, 2006.
