“After holding a referendum in Transdniester the Moldovan and Transdniestrian parties must find an optimal form of relations, which would allow preserving Moldova's territorial integrity,” Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych told journalists in Luhansk, answering their questions.

“In my opinion, Moldova and Transdniester should share authorities, but remain the one state,” he stressed.

The Prime Minister admitted that the referendum had a consultative nature. "Does it aggravate the conflict? Rather yes, than no. It should be regulated as soon as possible," the Premier said.

The Prime Minister aired his conviction that relations between Ukraine and Moldova, as well as among Ukraine, Russia and Transdniester, would not worsen after the referendum.
