According to the Cabinet press office, Ukrainian nuclear power plants produced 59.946 million kwhof electric power for January-August, that is 2.8% (1.639 million kwh) more than during the same period in 2005 (58.307 million kwh). Plan task on production was completed for 102.5%, as it was informed in NAEK "Energoatom".

NAEK "Energoatom" produced 56.372 millions of electric power for market during January-August of 2006, which is at 3 % (at 1.644 millions kwh) more than during January-August of 2005 (54 728 millions kwh). Plan task on electric power output is done for 102.9%.

Established Power Usage Coefficient (EPUC) for 8 months of 2006 concluded 74.3%, which is at 2% more than the indicator for the same period of the previous year (72.3%).

Ukraine increased electric power export at 22 % in January-July at 22 % in comparison with the same period of 2005 - up to $143.777 million; the Cabinet informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

At the same time, Ukraine reduced export of electric power in actual expression at 5.6% - up to 5.48 milliard kwh.

813.4 million kwh of electric power was exported for July 2006, which is at 425.5 million kwh or by 2.1 times more than for July 2005.

Total export indicator decreased due to cessation of electric power export to Russian Federation.
