PM of Ukraine Yanukovych held a working meeting with Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko on Friday, who reported on results of his working trip to Moscow to negotiate with Gazprom on gas supplies to Ukraine, its transit to Europe, paying off debt to Turkmenistan and the situation on the Ukrainian oil product market, the Cabinet press office reports.

Minister Boyko briefed the Head of Government about the meeting with Gazprom CEO Aleksey Miller, which dealt with forming gas balance in Ukraine in 2006's last quarter and 2007's the first quarter. He said agreements were reached on covering Ukraine's gas shortage in 2006's last quarter. The parties also addressed to the issue related to the pumping-in of gas to Ukraine's underground storage facilities for its stable supply to Ukrainian consumers and transit to Europe.

As paying off liabilities to Turkmenistan for supplied gas is concerned, Yuriy Boiko said Ukraine means to pay off its debts to Turkmenistan by September 19 and to launch talks on likely investments into Turkmen gas extraction branch.
