Ukraine strives for becoming "territory of European investments", Ukrainian Economy Minister Volodymyr Makukha said during official negotiations with Finnish Trade and Industry Minister Mauri Pekkarinen in Krynica Gorska, Poland. Thus, one of the priorities of the Ukrainian Government is creating favourable investment climate, he stressed.
The two Ministers discussed stepping up Ukraine - EU cooperation and the program of official consultations between Ukraine and the EU as for creating a free trade area after Ukraine’s joining the WTO, Cabinet’s press office reported.
The Ukrainian Economy Minister pointed out Ukraine's interest in continuing activities of the Ukrainian - Finnish commission for trade and economic development, as well as in Finland's experience in enhancing competitiveness.
