The Ambassador informed the deputy minister about development of the situation in Lebanon, having noted that Israel’s blockade hampers renewal of social and economic life in his country after recent cessation of armed conflict. Sadaka expressed a hope that Ukraine would join efforts of the international community directed to stabilization of the situation on Israeli-Lebanese border.
In his turn, Kostenko reported that Ukraine works out issues concerning humanitarian aid for Lebanon and participation of Ukrainian contingent in UN peacemaking forces.
The parties also discussed relations between Ukraine and Lebanon in different spheres and further development of bilateral cooperation.
