The European Union plans to complete trade agreements with Ukraine,
India and a number of other Asian countries, EU Commissioner on trade issues
Peter Mandelson reported Tuesday.
According to Mandelson, the EU regards these countries as possible partners for the new initiative on lifting trade barriers.
Earlier, EU representatives declared that corresponding negotiations with Ukraine must become a part of negotiations concerning close cooperation between Kyiv and Brussels. However, the talks will start after Ukraine has joined the WTO.
