The Cabinet of ministers
of Ukraine is ready to present its Action Program and Draft Strategy of the
nation's social and economic development for 2007 - 2011 to the Verkhovna Rada,
Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych told the Parliament's Tuesday session, Cabinet's press office reporte.
According to the Head of
Government, the Draft Strategy envisages attaining the economy's sustainable
growth, so that in 2009 - 2011 the nation will be able to create necessary
conditions for Ukraine's transition to the post-industrial economy.
As Viktor Yanukovych
told the lawmakers, the Government has drawn out 42 bills, which will be
conveyed to the Parliament for prompt consideration and adoption.
Viktor Yanukovych also
stated the Government's resolve to cooperate with the opposition, which he
referred to as both the Government's controller and ally.
It should be reminded at
this point that the Action Program's endorsement by the Verkhovna Rada will
safeguard the Cabinet from passing non-confidence vote for a year's time.
