The governments of Czech Republic, Slovakia and Latvia passed the resolution to cancel the transit visa for Ukrainian citizens if they have valid visas or a certificate of registration in Schengen countries, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
The corresponding resolution has been passed in connection with the recommendation resolution of the European Parliament 895/2006/ЕК of June 14, 2006 on implementation of the simplified control system within the external borders, Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry press office informs.
The resolution comes into effect on September 1 in Czech Republic, on October 1 in Slovakia and on December 1 in Latvia. The transit term must not exceed 5 days.
