In August Naftogaz Ukraine pumped in 3.78 milliard cubic metres of gas in the underground depositories. There are 19.9 milliard c.m. of gas in the underground stoage facilities (USF) of Ukraine by Spetember 1.
The August negotiations between Naftogaz and Gazprom resulted in increase in the volume of gas injection, the press service of the Ukrainian company revealed.
According to Naftogaz press release, the company plans to hold a record injection schedule in September (3.2 milliard cubic metres). Now the company pumps in 120 million cu. m. of gas every day. According to the statistic, this index did not exceed 90 million cu. m. per day in the previous years.
“In accordance with the instructions of PM Yanukovich and Ukraine's Fuel and Energy Minister Yuri Boiko, NJSC Naftogaz Ukraine schedules to pump in 24-24.5 milliard cu. m. of gas in the USF by October 15. It will secure stable gas supply for all categories of Ukrainian consumers and transit Russian gas to the European countries,” states the press release of the company.
