Realization of the project of construction of a new aviation terminal, financed by the Japanese government, will allow the latter to decide on continuation of cooperation with Ukraine with the framework of the program "Official Development Aid". Ukrainian Economics Minister Volodymyr Makukha and Japanese Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Ukraine Mutsuo Mabuchi held a meeting on this issue.
Ukraine is interested in realization of a series of projects in transportation and energy. The parties agreed that a group of Japanese experts will visit Ukraine to draft relevant conclusions. The Ukrainian side, in its turn, will enlarge the list of facilities, which might need financing on the part of the Japanese government, the Economics Ministry press service reported.
The meeting also focused on Japan's rendering medical equipment to east Ukrainian medical institutions and launching a Ukrainian - Japanese centre for organization of seminars into cooperation between Ukraine's scientific institutions and businesses.
