Ukraine keeps to the schedule of gas pumping to storage, Ukrainian Minister for Fuel and Energy Yuri Boiko confirms.
“If we adhere to the existing procedure of gas pumping, we will reach the necessary level of gas volume in gas-holders to survive winter, which is 24.7 bn. cu. m. We keep to the schedule," the Ministry's press service quoted Boiko.
As the Minister stressed, some 130 mln cu. m. of gas is being pumped to gas-holders daily and the process is to be completed by October 15.
As chief of the department for gas purchase and sale Yuriy Nemchenko earlier disclosed, as of August 1, five bn. cu. m. of gas belonging to the UkrGazEnergo was pumped to underground gas-holders.
