President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko considers that Crimea republic uses its natural resources short.

“Crimea must work actively. It seems to me that Crimea is a sleeping elephant, which distributed its resources in accordance with unknown rules,” Yushchenko declared on the press conference in Foros.

The President considers that Crimean criminal organizations and bandit groups have distributed natural resources between each other to share the power of the autonomy.

According to him, the matter concerns both land and sea resources of Crimea.

Additionally, the President stated that Crimea, which has unique nature and inhabited by representatives of different nationalities, must become an example of international stability for the whole Ukraine.

“Crimea mustn’t be an enclave of bandit groups. Open and transparent policy must be formed here. Crimea must become an example,” Yushchenko underlined.
