Ukraine's Yushchenko commented on his visit to Sorochyntsi fair

Victor Yushchenko visited an annually held fair in the village of Novi Sorochyntsi, Poltava region.

The President, who had been there last year, said he saw some major improvements and bought a carpet, a shirt, ceramic tableware and some decorative knickknacks.

He said the market in Sorochyntsi could work every day if there was a relevant investment project.

“We should find a formula of involving thousands of entrepreneurs in joining this project so that this fair should work permanently or regularly, not just three or four days a year” he told reporters, adding the place should preserve old Ukrainian traditions, President's press office reported.
