The international Ukrainian Studies Camp has been opened in Lviv. It involves participation of 100 Ukrainian children from Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Russia, Cabinet's press office reported.

The large-scale event, initiated by Education and Science Department of the Lviv Regional Administration, aims at popularization of history of Ukraine, culture and language as well as reaching contacts with Ukrainian youth abroad.

Meetings with pupils of Lviv schools are on the agenda of the event. Young children will also be enabled to participate in Ukrainian culture competitions and the intellectual game "Brain-Ring".

The participants will also visit medieval castles and will participate in the 150th anniversary of Ivan Franko's birthday.
