3.5 thousand people, 1.5 thousand of which represent
43 countries of the world, take part in IV World Forum of Ukrainians, as
chairman of the Forum organizational committee, minister of culture and tourism
Ihor Lykhovy informed.
“The fourth Forum is called to start the new stage in arrangement of stable and substantial ties of Ukrainians from all over the world with their homeland,” he said during the opening ceremony of the Forum Friday.
Lykhovy noted that the most numerous delegations arrived from Russia, Canada, Kazakhstan, the USA, Belarus and Moldova.
“We hope the forum will play special role in consolidation of the world ‘ukrainianship’, in arrangement of new level of relations between Ukraine and Ukrainians, who live abroad,” the minister said.
