Chairman of the Poltava
Regional State Administration Valeriy Asadchev and German Ambassador to Ukraine Reinhard Schaefers discussed
prospects for attraction of German investments into the Poltava economy.
According to Asadchev, the Poltava region is
interested in German investments into construction, production of biological
fuels, high technologies and the agrarian sector.
According to the German diplomat,
the current external trade turnover between the region and Germany doesn't
correspond to real capabilities.
The Poltava region's foreign economic trade
turnover with Germany
in 2005 reached around 107 million USD with 27 million USD-worth export and almost 80 million USD-worth import, Cabinet's press office reported.
