Claude Goasguen, deputy of National Assembly of France, chairman of “Union for people’s movement” group in Council of Paris, wrote a letter to BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko and wished her to win the next elections.

“I wish Mrs. Tymoshenko to win the next elections and to finally incorporate Ukraine to democratic European culture, not yielding to pressure of oligarchs and powerful Russian neighbour,” the letter says, BYuT press office reported.

In his letter the French politician expressed his anxiety over current situation in Ukraine. Goasguen considers that non-appointment of Tymoshenko for the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine witnesses about defeat of the orange revolution, which filled hearts of the French with hopes and enthusiasm.

Paris parliamentarian is surprised by sudden change of relations between Ukraine’s President Victor Yushchenko and leader of Party of regions and Ukraine’s PM Victor Yanukovich. “I think the matter concerns not only politicians’ quarrels. Ukraine has not released itself from influence of the powerful Russian neighbour yet,” Goasguen noted.
