Constitutional court of Ukraine cannot take up its
duties for procedure reasons, as CC judge Maria Markush said.
In the air of Channel 5 she noted that new-elected CC judges had not been dismissed from their previous posts.
President’s representative in Constitutional court Volodymyr Shapovalov noted that in accordance with the Law, a CC judge cannot hold another posts.
According to him, this problem could have been solved during the swear-in procedure in the Verkhovna Rada by means of corresponding resolution on dismissal of judges from the previous positions.
“It has not been done,” he underlined. Shapovalov excuses this by that “the Verkhovna Rada is really young.”
According to him, eight new judges of Constitutional court are dual job-holders.
