Secretariat Chief of Staff Oleh Rybachuk met with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor, President's press office reported.
They discussed ways to develop political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries and to efficiently implement bilateral programs and international projects.
Then they spoke about the current political situation in Ukraine. Rybachuk said Ukraine’s future parliament and government would have to effectively carry out economic policies and added that energy security was our country’s top priority.
“New energy challenges force us to build global energy cooperation,” he said.
In his turn, Mr. Taylor said the United States wanted to forge closer ties with Ukraine and supported its democratic development.
