Yesterday Victor Yushchenko met with political leaders representing both the parliamentary majority and the opposition: Yulia Tymoshenko (BYuT), Roman Bezsmertny, Anatoly Kinakh, Anatoly Matviyenko (Our Ukraine), Raisa Bohatyryova, Yukhym Zvyagilsky (Regions Party), Volodymyr Boiko (Socialist Party of Ukraine), and Ivan Gerasimov (Communist Party of Ukraine). They discussed the current political situation in Ukraine. The President insisted that it was vital to find healthy compromises in order to preserve unity and stability.

Bohatyryova, Zvyagilsky, Boiko and Gerasimov, members of the so-called anti-crisis coalition, assured the President they supported his policies aimed at consolidating society and developing the economy.

The Head of State said the Ukrainian economy was growing dynamically despite the existing parliamentary crisis and thus urged Ukraine’s new government to spare no effort to preserve and increase growth.

Then he reiterated he would cooperate with all the parties in the Verkhovna Rada, President's press office reported.
