In particular, PR member Olena Lukash said that according to the norms of the regulations the posts of chairmen, deputy chairmen and secretaries of the parliamentary committees are distributed proportionally among the factions. “Simple calculations say that we must get ten committees,” she said.
According to her, the majority offered to introduce changes into the resolution on parliamentary committees and to increase its number having formed special control commission for the opposition. Lukash underlined that it is impossible as the status and functions of the committees are defined by the law on VR committees and, consequently, only the law can change these functions.
Lukash also said that the coalition offered to the opposition to control the power’s actions, but this function “is not very big, not very strong and not very effective.”
