On June 29, 2006 in Kyiv, political consultations at the level of deputy heads of the foreign policy offices of Ukraine and the Kingdom of Denmark took place.
At the negotiations, the Ukrainian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Volodymyr Handogiy, and the Danish one by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Michael Zilmer-Johns, the MFA press service informs.
The participants of the negotiations positively assessed the current state of bilateral relations, discussed the political dialogue intensification prospect, in particular, the visit of the President of Ukraine to Denmark and cooperation development in economic and legal spheres.
The parties paid special attention to energy security of Ukraine and Europe, entry of Ukraine into the WTO and the ways of involvement of Danish technical assistance with Ukraine.
During discussion of cooperation of Ukraine with the EU and the NATO, the Danish side confirmed its support of European integration and Euro-Atlantic intentions of Ukraine.
