Victor Yushchenko called Grygoriy Surkis, Head of the Ukraine Football Federation, and Oleh Blokhin, Head Coach of the National Football Team to learn how Ukrainian players felt and trained before an upcoming match with Italy on June 30, President's press office reported.
He thanked the footballers and coaches for their World Cup victories. Yushchenko stated that reaching the quarter-finals was a great achievement of our team, this year’s debutant.
The Head of State said he might visit Germany to support the
team this Friday.
