On June 24, Odesa hosted “The Black Sea between the EU and Russia: Security, Energy, Democracy” the international conference. In the framework of the event, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Borys Tarasyuk met his Romanian counterpart Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu.
In the course of the conversation, the parties discussed the course of preparation and set an agenda of bilateral negotiations, which will be held in Odesa on July 4, 2006 on the instructions of the Presidents of two states. It was agreed that the future negotiations would be held with the participation of representatives of ministries and offices which are directly responsible for resolution of all important issues of bilateral relations.
At the request of Mr Ungureanu, Borys Tarasyuk informed him on current Ukraine’s political situation and formation of the parliamentary majority.
