“In order to come over this deadlock and immediately reach basic understanding on the initial stage of the portfolios’ distribution, I proposed Oleksandr Moroz the post of NSDCU Head,” said President of Ukraine Yushchenko and added that Moroz “unfortunately, refused.”
The President supposes that the negotiations have deadlocked because of “the position of a certain political force which, having chosen the PM post, nominated the Socialist Party candidate to Speaker’s chair.” “The decision itself is incomprehensible. It contradicts to the basic principle of coalition formation," Yushchenko emphasised.
He stresses that the distribution of certain posts is his constitutional right and he will not tolerate interference with his authorities.
