The European Commission on problems of stable gas transit transportation

As Ferran Tarradellas Espuny, the European Commission's spokesperson for energy-related matters told Ukrinform's Brussels-based correspondent on Tuesday, the European Commission views Ukraine and Russia as reliable parties in supplies and transit transportation of natural gas to EU countries.

So, the EuroCommission expect that both nations will abide by their contractual commitments with regard to stable supplies of gas to European consumers.

Ferran Tarradellas Espuny declined to comment on the Gazprom's statement the day before about Ukraine's alleged failure to stockpile enough gas in underground storages for safeguarding supplies to EU member-nations.
