In Kyiv Ukraine Justice Minister Holovaty and USAID/Ukraine Mission Director Earl Gast inked an agreement on implementation of the Supremacy of Law and Corruption Counteraction Program by U.S. and Ukraine governments.
According the agreement, the USA will allot a technical aid in the amount of $2.68 million.
The key target of the agreement is to consolidate the supremacy of law within judicial, executive and legislative branches by means of implementation of changes into the laws and other legal texts which will be aimed at reduction of corruption and making Ukraine’s government more transparent and unbiased. It will provide for proper development of democratic institutions and economic growth.
The program will back raising the level of judges’ skills and courts’ officials, provision of technical and organisation aid for courts and other.
The means spending will handled by an agency commissioned to allot the means.
