May 29, acting PM Yuri Yekhanurov and Moldova PM Vasyl Tarlev have discussed the issues related to the bilateral cooperation. Ukrainian high official stressed that the principal position of Ukraine and Moldova allowed establishing order within the frontier.
As a reminder, Ukraine-Moldova Intergovernmental Protocol regulates that the commodity turnover between two countries may be executed only by Moldova’s customs permit.
According to Yekhanurov’s words, it caused some tension but “we have demonstrated adherence of principle.” Acting PM has stressed that Ukraine concerns over reduction of the turnover. He has expressed confidence that the situation will be improved.
“In the nearest time, Ukraine will host Moldavian Wine Fest. Moldavians are open for Ukraine. We hope to cancel all borders between Ukraine and Moldova for our citizens to cross the frontier by their home passports. Our countries have similar orientation and I believe it will help us to enter the EU in the foreseeable future,” stated Moldova Premier.
