Victor Yushchenko has met with acting Premier Yuriy Yekhanurov, acting Agriculture Minister Oleksandr Baranivsky, acting Industrial Minister Volodymyr Shandra, acting Economy Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, and acting Emergency Minister Victor Baloha.

The President told Yuri Yekhanurov his government would continue to perform duties until the new cabinet was formed. The prime minister said he planned to meet with the governors in June to discuss salary debts and energy payments, the press office of the president informed.

Then Yushchenko, Yatsenyuk, Baloha and Serhiy Parashyn, Head of the Administration of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, discussed problems of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The Head of State said he wanted projects in Chornobyl to be implemented in strict accordance with schedules and safety rules.

The President and the agriculture minister spoke about reforms in Ukraine’s agricultural complex and changes within the ministry. They also discussed the current situation on the milk and meat market.

 Yushchenko and Shandra discussed the current situation in Ukraine’s major industries.
