For the last four months the President of Ukraine signed five decrees on presidential clemency for 393 convicted, the press service informs.
246 persons have got their preventive punishment reduced, 147 prisoners have been released.
The Providing Activity Service at the Committee on Presidential Clemency has received 5,266 appeals, 79 appeals out of it were from the VR members, 3,657 appeals asked about presidential clemency. The Committee secured 849 appeals.
Regarding this issue, the official of the President’s Reception Room received 242 citizens of Ukraine.
