Yalta ZOO “Skazka” (Fairy Tale) accepts congratulations. It has been the first time for the last six years when the family of Amur tigers has bred two female cubs.
There are only about 400 representatives of this species left on the planet.
The birth in the zoo is the real sensation, Skazka Director Oleh Zubkov told.
The parents – Uglar (tiger) and Sara (tigress, originally form Czech) and little daughters are well. “Sara feeds her cubs. They are very beautiful. Everything is ok,” said Zubkov.
Zubkov revealed a little secret: another Amur spouses are waiting now for a birth of their babies. This time it is Amur leopards.
