In Vilnius, Victor Yushchenko has met with Javier Solana, Secretary General of the EU Council and High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy.
They discussed ways to promote democracy in Ukraine and help it integrate with the European Union, NATO, and WTO. The President also spoke about post-election coalition talks in our country, the president press office reported.
Hereiterated that Ukraine’s foreign policy would not change and insisted that the EU should liberalize visa requirements for some categories of Ukrainian citizens.
Mr. Yushchenko and Mr. Solana also discussed ways to settle the Transdniestrian conflict.
