Deputy economy minister Valery Pyatnitsky declares that Ukraine plans to sign a protocol on market access with Taiwan in the first half of May and to finish completely the negotiation process on Ukraine’s accession to the WTO.

“In the first half of May we will sign a protocol with Taiwan. I hope that the whole package of documents with all countries will be approved in the first half of June,” said Pyatnitsky in an interview to weekly “Delovaya stolitsa.”

He also reported that Ukraine refused Australia’s demands to set a quota on import of raw cane-sugar in Ukraine in the amount of 408 ths tons. “We proposed to continue the dialogue after the WTO accession. It means that Ukraine along with Australia and other countries will set the rules on the world sugar market,” reported the deputy minister.
