Kyiv local authority allocates $49,200 for the TB Material-Technical Equipment Program, 2006-2011, Kyiv City Administration press service reports.
The corresponding resolution approves of Kyiv City Council’s decision which has been passed earlier.
The General Capital Medical and Health Department is commissioned to assume the responsibility for the implementation of the Program.
According to the Program, Kyiv City plans to reconstruct the Inter-District Department of Kyiv City TB Prophylactic Centre #2 by 2008; to build new therapy unit in Holoseyevo District and to overhaul the existing ones in Vasylkivska Street, 35 for 2007-2009; thorough repairs of TB Prophylactic Centre in Perspectivna Street, 6, Pechersk District, 2009-2010; to overhaul the TB Inter-District Therapy Unit in Belinskiy Street, 6, Shevchenkivsky District in 2010-2011.
In addition to this schedule, Kyiv City Children’s Clinic TB Hospital in Hamarnyk, 10, Obolon District will be reconstructed in 2006-2009 and Kyiv City TB Hospital will be overhauled in 2006-2008.
