International humanitarian forum “Renaissance, renovation and development of a man” devoted to 20th anniversary of Chornobyl disaster has started its work today in Ukraine’s National Philharmonic Society, ForUm’s correspondent reported.

The aim of the humanitarian forum is bridging of permanent dialogue on man’s evolution in future.

According to the authors’ idea, the dialogue starts with the most acute subject – natural and antropogenic catastrophes. Forum’s organizers consider that the dialogue’s results will help to form whole vision of the problem of catastrophes and to find ways of system settlement of humanitarian problems, connected with disasters.

The forum was initiated by International charitable fund “Ukraine-3000”, the Children of Chornobyl Relief and Development Fund.

Ukraine’s President’s wife and head of “Ukraine-3000” fund Kateryna Yushchenko, Poland’s President’s wife Maria Kaczynski, UNESCO director general Koishiro Matsuura take part in forum’s work.

The forum started with plenary session on “Catastrophes as a global problem and joint responsibility.”
