Ukraine does not intend to cancel the decision concerning admission of Transdniestrian loads through Ukrainian-Moldovan border by Moldovan documents only, as declared Foreign Minister of Ukraine Borys Tarasyuk.

“This is our joint decision (Ukraine’s and Moldova’s), and we won’t reconsider it,” said the Minister, who will take part in the meeting of the Council of CIS countries’ heads in Moscow.

Tarasyuk declared that this issue is not a subject of discussion on the meeting on Transdniestrian conflict settlement in the 5+2 format (Moldova, Transdniester, Russia, Ukraine, OCSE and the EU, the USA).

“There are no grounds for this,” stated the Minister.

Tarasyuk reported that during the meeting of Council of CIS countries’ heads, which was scheduled for today, he would submit a proposition to stop “trade wars”.

Speaking about restrictions on supplies of Moldovan and Georgian wines and Ukrainian milk and meat production to Russia, Tarasyuk pointed out that “these restrictions were applied to GUAM countries (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova).”

According to the Minister, “groundless complaints” were lodged to the countries, “policy of which does not suit.” “We consider it a subjective approach, which has nothing to do with quality standards,” underlined the Minister.

Speaking about intention of GUAM countries to reform this organization, Ukrainian minister noted that it did not mean that GUAM countries would leave the CIS. “GUAM exists and neighbours CIS, and it will go on,” said Tarasyuk.
