Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Tarasyuk met Ambassadors of OSCE countries

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Borys Tarasyuk and OSCE countries Ambassadors hold a briefing dedicated to the anniversary of President Yushchenko declared Transdniestrian peaceful settlement.

Tarasyuk recalled that “a year ago President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko propounded an initiation of the settlement through the democracy” which have underlined the Transdniestrian Settlement Stage Plan.

Transdniestrian situation touches upon the most important issues of Ukraine’s national security, Tarasyuk stressed. “The regional security and stability are the prior trends of Ukraine’s foreign policy,” said Tarasyuk.

The Minister also pointed out that “Ukraine’s standpoint on Transdniestrian settlement is based upon the community of democratic values, basic principles of the supremacy of law, observance of human rights, regard for sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova Republic and interests of Left river-bank resident.”
