Victor Yushchenko addressed NSDCU Secretary Anatoly Kinakh and National
Security Chief Ihor Drizhchany with a request to allow Lesya Gongadze to get
secret information about the murder of her son, journalist Georgiy Gongadze.
Press office of the President reports that the corresponding decree must be prepared in two days.
Lesya Gongadze had asked the President for help on April 17
The Head of State also believes that, taking into account importance of the case and people’s interest in it, Ukraine’s law enforcement agencies must make the trial public.
Yushchenko addressed General Office of Public Prosecutor and the Court with a request to conduct hearings of the case as openly as national legislation and juridical procedures permit.
