Kateryna Yushchenko, Head of the Ukraine 3000 Supervisory Council, and Ukraine’s famous philanthropist Petro Bagriy, Ganza President, took part in a ceremony to present medicaments to patients with bronchial asthma.
Yuriy Polyachenko, Health Minister, Oleksandr Vozianov, President of the Academy of Medical Sciences, and Yuriy Feshchenko, President of Physiatry and Pulmonology Institute, attended the ceremony.
The medicaments will be distributed among children’s hospitals that take part in the Hospital to Hospital program and other pulmonology clinics, the president press office reported.
Kateryna Yushchenko said bronchial asthma had a serious impact on people’s life: they have to skip classes, cannot be physically active and find it difficult to communicate.
“If treated properly, they can enjoy a durable remission. These medicaments can considerably improve quality of life for asthma patients,” she said.
The President’s wife added thatthe governmentshould involve more philanthropists and businessmen in carrying out health policies.
