The EU initiates the repeal of asymmetric visa regime introduced for Ukraine and seven countries of the EU (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Czechia), Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk told at the EBA morning held on Tuesday.
“Unfortunately, the EU delegation brings up a question concerning the repeal of this regime. We are not delighted with this issue,” said Tarasyuk.
He points out that the majority of Ukrainian citizens most often visit these seven countries. Ukrainian diplomat urges to hold constructive negotiations for the EU “to get new mandate.”
As a reminder, the asymmetric visa regime stipulates that the citizens of Ukraine visit these seven countries by free visas and the EU citizens visit Ukraine without visa issuing.
