The representatives of Ukraine’s National Space Agency (NKAU) and Russian Space Forces will discuss the issues related to the further joint use of alerting radars located in Mukachevo and Sevastopol, Yyri Alekseyev, NKAU Director General, told Tuesday at the press conference.
In response to the question of Ukrinform's journalist, he states that on April 17-22 the expert delegation and Russian representatives of Space Forces’ technical and financial structures will launch working in Ukraine. The issue related to the cost of the radar use for Russia will be under discussion. Alekseyev revealed that NKAU proposed the cost increase in order to get break-even of the object exploitation.
In the beginning of 2006, the Defence Ministry of Ukraine handed the alerting radars over to NKAU.
