Ukraine is interested in development of bilateral ties and interparliamentarian relations between newly elected Verkhovna Rada and Sejm and Senate of Poland, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk told at the meeting with Bogdan Borusevich the Chairman of Senate RP.
In the course of the discussion the parties stressed the great importance of further cooperation within the parliamentary institutions, that is the Parliamentary Assembly of Ukraine and Poland, Interparliamentarian Assembly of VR, Sejm and Senate RP and Lithuanian Sejm, the cooperation between corresponding parliamentary factions and groups included.
Foreign Minister Tarasyuk on behalf of Ukraine thanked Sejm and Senate of Poland for special resolutions related to the first anniversary of the Orange revolution and Holodomor.
The attention of the discussion was also centred on pressing needs of Ukrainian Diaspora in Poland and Polish Diaspora in Ukraine.
