President thanks U.S. politicians

President Victor Yushchenko has sent letters to Congressman Curt Weldon, Congressman Jim Gerlach, and Senator Richard Lugar to thank them for their efforts to repeal the Jackson-Vanik Amendment.

“This seminal resolution is not only the further proof of civil freedom in Ukraine but also the symbol of support of democratic changes in our country,” he wrote, President's press office reported.
