Victor Yushchenko sent telegrams to Yaroslav Davydovych, Head of the Central Election Commission, Ihor Drizhchany, Chief of Ukraine’s Security Service, Yuriy Lutsenko, Interior Minister, Oleksandr Medvedko, Prosecutor General, and governors of Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Lugansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Kyiv, Kirovograd, Mykolayiv, Chernivtsi, Odesa and Kharkiv oblasts to say he was worried over delays in ballot counting in these regions.

“This can be regarded as somebody’s premeditated effort to benefit this or that political force,” he wrote, President's press office reported.

The President is convinced that the process is a very important stage of the Sunday election and so all ballots must be counted in accordance with laws.

“I demand that you adopt necessary measures to count all ballots without delays,” he said.
