Timoshenko insists on review of gas agreements with Russia

BYuT’s leader Yulia Timoshenko insists on the necessity to review gas agreements between Ukraine and Russia, as declared in an interview with journalists.

According to her, in case BYuT representatives take portfolios in Cabinet of Ministers, the issue of review of gas agreements with Russia will be a top priority.

At the same time she reported that the item of review of gas agreements is not included into the project of coalition treaty between SPU, Our Ukraine and BYuT.

Timoshenko also expressed assurance that relations between Ukraine and Russia would not become worse. “Ukraine has made European choice, but we are obliged to be friends with our neighbours,” said she. Timoshenko underlined that now relations between two countries would be based on equal terms. “We will raise status of Ukraine,” said she. According to her opinion, strong power in Ukraine is capable to even these relations.
